The Harper Collection of Dwarf and Rare Conifers was established by Justin "Chub" Harper in 1981 with the donation of 351 plants from his own back yard.  More than 25 years later the collection has grown to over 500 specimens.  The fall color in this picture is provided by a grove of sassafras trees located on the edge of the collection.
